We humans like to navigate in simple straight lines, our sense of smell is less well developed than other land mammals, so we rely almost entirely on visual clues; features and landmarks and accurate mapping to find our way around unfamiliar places. Sometimes a technical map provides too much information and can be difficult to understand. I provide accurate and engaging maps that are easy to interpret. I use shadows to represent natural features enabling those who might not be able to read a contoured, to navigate successfully.

These maps are a great way of highlighting a towns’ landmarks by their location. They are also a simple and quick navigation aid to people arriving at an unfamiliar resort or festival.

These maps are drawn from a viewpoint above a town, resort or attraction. They are drawn from a satellite photo but then slightly “distorted” to fit otherwise obscured streets or points of interest, without compromising the overall integrity of the map. The main attractions or key points are drawn in a recognisable format so that the user will immediately know where they are. The resulting map is an engaging, attractive easy to use guide to the area.
